Invantive Keychain

The contents of the Invantive Keychain are stored in an encrypted file 'invantive.keychain' located in %USERPROFILE%\invantive. The unencrypted format of Invantive Keychain is identical to that of the KDBX database format for password managers. The TOTP-accounts reside in a separate branch and can be exported and imported using Invantive Authenticator.

The encryption of Invantive Keychain on Windows devices is based upon an encryption algorithm using RSA-keys which are bound to the device. Therefore, the database can not be opened on another device. Use the export/import options to easily transport your accounts between devices.

On Windows running within a Parallels environment and Mac and Linux editions, the RSA-keys are NOT bound to the device due to limitations of the combination of hardware and software.
