A CLOB (Character Large Object) is a - potentially large - data element in a database that consists of characters to which a character encoding in the database is connected (as opposed to ‘BLOB’). It means that data stored in a CLOB with a specific character encoding will also be returned by the database using this character encoding.

The meaning of the entry fields is:

Name of Object

The table in which the CLOBs are stored.

Column

The column in which the CLOBs are stored.

Natural Key

The natural key of the row in which the CLOB is stored.

Original System Reference Value

The reference value of CLOB in the system of origin.

CLOB

The CLOB which is stored.

Loading Message

Result of the last attempt to load CLOB in the database.

The sequence number of the CLOB.
