Invantive Business for Windows is the desktop application of [[Invantive Business]]. It runs on its own, outside Microsoft Office, and shows the business data of one or more environments of a business platform in one window. The application is built on Invantive Producer, the platform which also carries Invantive Estate and Invantive Control for Excel, so the log-on window, the diagnostics window and the licence handling are the ones a reader may already know from those products. ## What It Shows The data comes from a [[Business Drivers|Business driver]], which presents every platform in the same vocabulary. Whichever platform is connected to, the same subjects appear in the same places: ![[20260903-business-explorer-dashboard.png]] The tree on the left names the subjects; what is chosen there opens on the right as a [[Invantive Business/Lists|list]]. The subjects are grouped into modules which follow the parts of a business: the general ledger, marketing, sales, inventory, human resource management, manufacturing and projects. ## Getting Started A first run consists of registering a licence, choosing a database and connecting to it.
