The Control ribbon (tab "Invantive Control") contains the functions for the model user. The functions are grouped as follows. ## Synchronisation - **Synchronize**: upload pending changes, then download fresh data; see [[Invantive Control for Excel/Concepts/Synchronization|Synchronisation]]. The split button also offers: - **Download Only**: retrieve fresh data without uploading; - **Upload Only**: send pending changes without downloading. - **Remove Downloaded Facts**: empty all blocks without uploading. - **Pending Changes**: open the list of [[Invantive Control for Excel/Concepts/Pending Change|pending changes]] for review and selective discarding. ## Publishing - **Publish**: create a distributable copy of the workbook, for example with downloaded facts removed and the model protected. Use this to hand over a workbook to model users or third parties. - **Publish to New Model**: derive a new model from the current workbook. ## Model Information - **Model Name** and **Model Author**: read-only display of the active [[Invantive Control for Excel/Concepts/Model|model]] metadata. - **Edit Parameters**: view and change the values of the model [[Invantive Control for Excel/Concepts/Parameter|parameters]]. ## Block Actions - **Add Row**: insert a new row in the current [[Invantive Control for Excel/Concepts/Block|block]] (when the block allows inserts). The button label uses the block's singular label. - **Remove Row**: delete the current row (when the block allows deletes). - **Choose Field Value**: pick a value for the current field from a list of allowed values. ## Custom Buttons Up to ten model-defined buttons, each bound to an [[Invantive Control for Excel/Concepts/Extension|extension]]. ## Connection - **Log On** / **Disconnect**: establish or end the connection to the facts database. - **Partition Menu**: choose the partitions (such as companies or administrations) to work on; see [[Invantive UniversalSQL/General/Partitioning|partitioning]] in Invantive UniversalSQL. - **Configuration**: select the database configuration ([[Settings.xml]]). - **Preferences**: personal preferences such as display options. ## Tools - **Relocate References**: repair references after worksheet changes. - **Reregister VBA Integration**: re-establish the VBA integration of the workbook. - **Translate**: translate labels using the Invantive translation tables. - **Apply Style**: re-apply the model styling. - **Hide Empty Rows**: hide rows without data in the selected range. - **Check Structure**: verify the structural integrity of the workbook and model. ## Help - **Open Help**, **Open Website**, **Release Notes**, **About**: documentation and version information. - **Request Support**, **Visit Forums**, **Feedback**: support channels, including [forums.invantive.com](https://forums.invantive.com/tag/invantive-control). - **Diagnostics** and **Keychain**: technical diagnostics and stored credentials. - **License** and **Server License**: licence information.
