Invantive Query Tool Multi-Platform carries a smaller interface than [[Invantive Query Tool/Invantive Query Tool|Invantive Query Tool]] for Microsoft Windows. The differences that a user notices are listed here. Use the Microsoft Windows product when one of them is in the way. ## Windows Not Available The following windows are not part of this product; choosing them reports that the window is not available in this version: - Diagnostics - Keychain - Data Replicator - Local Statements Help - Feedback - Stay informed - Preferences ## Editor and Statements - A semicolon does not separate statements; see [[Executing Statements]]. - The editor colours the SQL but does not complete names of tables or columns while typing. - Cancelling a statement does not interrupt it: the platform finishes the work and the result is discarded. ## Objects - The tree stops at the object; the columns of a table or view are not shown. - Only a table, view, function, procedure or synonym of the database itself is inserted into the editor by double-clicking. The entries under the PSQL packages and under the functions, procedures and views of the data dictionary are shown but not inserted. ## Results - A value holding a document or an image is shown as `[BLOB]`. The contents can only be reached through an export of the statement, not from the grid. - Refreshing and exporting the statement are unavailable after "Execute All", since no single statement is remembered. - PDF, Microsoft Word, XPS, HTML, RTF and printing are not available; see [[Exporting Results]]. ## Connection - A database stays open until the window is closed; there is no way to log off from an open database and stay in the product. ## Language - A handful of short texts are shown in Dutch irrespective of the language chosen: the messages reported while a statement is being prepared, executed or cancelled, and the entry for the summaries in the context menu of a column heading.
