After logging on, Invantive Runtime shows the plug-ins which are available on the connected database. There is no editor and no query window: a plug-in is chosen and run, and the plug-in decides what happens. ![[20260809-runtime-main-window.png]] The ribbon carries a "File" menu and one tab, "General", with two groups: - "Connection": the database currently connected to, which opens the log on window again when chosen; the partition selector, which reports "All selected" as long as no choice has been made within the database; and "Preferences". - "Help": "Product Forums" and "Help". The status bar at the bottom names the database the session runs on, in the form `@<group>\<database>`. The rest of the window is the list of plug-ins. Plug-ins are grouped by subject, each group carrying a name and a sentence describing what it covers, and each group can be collapsed so that only the plug-ins of interest stay in view. Within a group every plug-in is a tile with its name and a description of what it does. Choosing a tile runs that plug-in. Which plug-ins appear depends on the platform of the database connected to and on the licence. A database on an XML audit file therefore shows other plug-ins than a database on a cloud platform, next to the group of samples which run on any database.
